V day collab by IrvingBrew V day collab by IrvingBrew
:iconookami-kun: was hosting a competition on Niko's pchat so :iconcaroro: and I decided to enter with our old rp characters. Nelia (right side) is hers, Wake is mine. Twas a lot of fun, i think our art styles mesh rather nicely.

Saw this piece featured on The Art Of Animation blog, and thought something about it looked familiar. (: Love this illustration!

hahaa... that'd be Morgan Allen's work (well, the bottom one being a collab between us.) I'm glad you like it :) it got a DD yesterday, the attention has kinda caught me off guard.

Oh yah, just meant this last collab here caught my eye as familiar. And a DD, nice! Well deserved. :)

So if this was a collaboration between you two I'd like to know what each of you did? :meow:

we both did the figures/undersketch,we both did the painting. It was done simultaneously, on paintchat. It was a constant draw-over, and paintover of eachothers work until it became cohesive and polished. no separation of tasks :)

Oh, neato. I was thinking it might've been a constant trade back and forth with each of you painting over eachother's work until you arrived at the final piece(interesting that there's a site/application for this to make it easier). It doesn't look like a separation of tasks, so I was just wondering how that worked.

paintchat is pretty cool for that kind of thing; drawing with other artists on the same canvas in real time. You should try it some time :)
